50/50 Show - Kaleidoscopics!

I'm so excited to let you know that I was selected to participate in the Sanchez Art Center's 50/50 Show and Fundraiser from Sept. 8 to Oct 1 in Pacifica, CA. 

The art challenge was 50 artists creating 50 works of art in 50 days. My 50/ project is a 3D collage work is called Kaleidoscopics! They are jewelry for your walls featuring  acrylic paintings, brass stampings and semi-precious stones riveted to 6-inch square wooden tiles.

My inspiration is the actual kaleidoscope that produces an array of exquisite patterns and colors. My Kaleidoscopics represent the veritable kaleidoscope of our lives in balance and flow. I was fortunate to be part of this show in 2021 with Prayer Boxes for the Earth. And, this time around, my focus is on dramatic color, patterns, textures and layers.

The show kicks off with a fundraiser on Friday Sept. 8 and Saturday Sept 9. Each ticket is $35. There are still a few tickets available for Saturday  on Eventbrite here: https://www.eventbrite.com/.../2023-5050-show-opening...

After Sept 9, the Art gallery is open for FREE VIEWING from 1 - 5 PM on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays until Oct. 1.

Each Kaleidoscopic will be available for purchase for $120.

Earlier is better to view the complete installation and see them in their full glory. As people purchase each collage they are taken down from the wall. Also it's amazing to check out the creativity of the other 49 artists, who bring something so different and artful to their 50/50 projects!
