Caring for Your Jan Michaels Jewelry

Our jewelry is primarily made of brass that has been antiqued using an environmentally-friendly metal finishing process. Over time, however brass will tarnish due to perspiration, pollution, weather and cosmetics. To brighten your jewelry use a fine steel wool or kitchen scouring pad and gently rub in a circular motion to lift any tarnish. Make sure to dry the brass thoroughly.

We don't recommend liquid brass cleaners since a build-up develops on the metal. Please store your jewelry in an airtight plastic bag to prevent tarnish.


Ordering and Shipping

Since each order is custom made in our San Francisco Bay Area studio, please allow 7 to 10 days for us to make your items in addition to the estimated shipping time. We also offer Free Shipping on all orders in the U.S.


International Shipping

We are accepting orders from most places outside of the U.S. International customers are responsible for all customs logistics, duties, taxes and brokerage fees, as well as any other charges incurred from your point of origin. We also reserve the right not to ship to certain areas. Shipping times will also vary depending on customs, so please note that estimated delivery times may not apply to your region.


Returns

You can exchange or return an item up to 30 days from the purchase date. You will be responsible for the return shipping costs, and if you are outside of the U.S., any custom fees and taxes. All shipping fees are non-refundable.
