About the Event

My new Mixed Media work is titled “In Support of Black Lives Matter.”

As we spend more time at home watching the news about racial injustice and the almost constant shocking events occurring all over the country.  People of every skin color are alarmed at how Black people have been targeted unfairly.  It is a reality that has sunk into the collective consciousness of the United States. We. the people, are alarmed in every sector about this systemic racism.

"In Support of Black Lives Matter" comes in the form of a street protest that stands in solidarity with their fellow humans who are Brown and Black. The crowd cannot believe the injustice and cruelty that is becoming an almost daily occurrence.  The victims and their stories range from those who are jogging on a tree lined street, walking to the local convenience store or lying bed when the door gets smashed-in!

The result is unrest in our society.  We are all watching this and it is time for it to stop.

I hope this work will encourage people to talk about the issues and join together creatively to express themselves about the injustice and find real solutions now.

More than 80 artists will also be exhibiting. Masks will be mandatory, of course.
