Transformation Thangka is a painting capturing details of an ancient Tibetan silk scroll. Pointillistic painting techniques created a cosmic view of small Buddha shrines with Bougainvillea Trellises surrounding actual antique pressed glass Buddhas. The painted frame is a bowl shape symbolizing gifts, which are offerings for the monks. These were frequently seen on Bhutanese wall paintings.
Salamanders stamped from brass adorn the outer frame and brass dragons the inner frame. Intricate details on the inner mandala depict stairs “to the guiding light of Transformation.
